Cliff notes of our day:

- flag ceremony honoring the victims and bravery of 9/11

- Flee Map of how to go to outer space that was then used for writing

- math concepts practice

- writing - topic sentence activities and writing a complete paragraph OR writing a complete sentence using known words

- reading groups, reading comprehension (focus varies per child)

- grammar review and practice activities

Reminder for PEACE Week - blue or purple tomorrow
Tomorrow we should have a visit from a police officer to promote and discuss PEACE Week.

We will also have a guest teacher tomorrow morning who offered to share a surprise she enjoyed at Griffith Observatory last weekend that fits in so well with our current focus.

A Carnival sign up is posted outside our door. If you would like to volunteer to set up, run, or clean up our classroom booth, then please let someone know or send a text message. A photo will be uploaded with time slots shortly.
