Just a reminder that homework continues with the focus on weather this week. :)

The big ideas . . .

last week:
tornadoes and hurricanes change the surface of the Earth

* reviewed the water cycle
* learned weather terminology
* discussed the role of a meteorologist
* learned how the Earth rotates to create day and night
* learned how the Earth revolves to create the seasons
* connected the Earth's movement to the inquiry question to discuss how and why weather, seasons, and times are different all over the world

this week:
earthquakes and volcanoes permanently change the structure of the Earth
* review landforms and water forms on Earth
* discuss weathering and erosion
* learn/review the structure of the Earth
* explore earthquakes and volcanoes

That will lead us perfectly into our study of geology. :)

Thank you to the families who responded to the blog post on Saturday. :) You are so supportive and it is greatly appreciated! :)
