Thank you for making my birthday so special! The flowers and cards were so special and very appreciated! I read every one in front of them as they requested. Thank you for giving the extra touch to the start of my day. Who is going to invent the next science experiment that reverses age? :)

Thank you to all of the families who were late to work today to be there when the Apple announcement was made. Ironically, I made Mrs. K promise not to announce my birthday at flag ceremony today like she does for every student and teacher. Being in the limelight makes me very uncomfortable. She agreed. Little did I know what was going to happen. You obviously did! I was completely numb with shock (luckily or I would have been sobbing!). Thank you for giving up your time to be there to offer support and encouragement as you have all year long! I never would have announced it or even told anyone if it could be avoided. If you know me at all, you know I would have delayed it until summer if at all. :) Your schedule sacrifice to be there as smiling faces is recognized and truly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Today the second graders enjoyed a terrific at school field trip the the first graders will get to enjoy next year. They made fossils which are coming home today.

Report cards were also sent home today. They are stapled to the pocket of your child's homework folder. They are made online. When filling them in, we only see one section at a time and never see the entire report card until the district prints them. If you see something that you think is a discrepancy, please let me know. :)

Homework for next week is longer than usual on purpose. Since each day ends 2 hours earlier, I wasn't sure if Kids Korner had longer homework time or if you might want a bit more to do at home. The parts that are most important are the flipped classroom videos being watched and the bag with a secret magnetic item. :) The rest can be used, modified, or deleted to match your week.

Enjoy your weekend. Thank you for making my day so very special! It was filled with priceless memories!
