This morning the children enjoyed music and Jiji Lab prior to our "friend of the day" activities. Currently on our fourth round, we are focusing on the following:
- counting strategies
- counting by 2's, 3's, and 4's to identify multiples of a secret number
- how to split an amount in half or quarters
- how to double a number
- dream travel spots with Flat Stanley
- alphabetical order
- people who have contributed to our world in a positive way on an individual basis
Did you hear about the incredible circuit your child designed from scratch today? Your child even had to create the holes for the components. It was very fun. Since it was a hands-on activity that required support throughout, there are no photos of the process. However, there will be a group success photo taken tomorrow celebrating what incredible electrical engineers we have in our room already! It's sure to make you "shine". :)
The homework turned in from last week was fun to read. I tore out the 3-2-1 pages to use for classroom discussion. Thank you for your continued support of merging classroom learning with homework and discussions each night!
Do you have a relative who lives nearby, over the age of 60, and has an interest in learning how to use iPads beyond email and games? If so, then I may have something of interest to you. Please send a text if anyone in your family meets those descriptions. :)
